The Burberry IT solutions team are looking for a Stores IT Solutions Consultant to work as part of the Retail IT team to design, deliver and support our global network of stores.


  • Understand the global systems solutions relevant to store operations and POS, to a level where they can build and configure IT devices
  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams
  • Ensure the retail test environment is maintained and kept up to date
  • Provide technical support to regional teams and external partners
  • Ensure systems are fully tested and operating in accordance with functional requirements prior to deployment.
  • Assist with problem resolution, ensuring assigned POS and back office IT related service desk tickets are dealt with on a timely and appropriate basis, with personal follow-up to ensure correct resolution and satisfaction with the store team.
  • Ensure software changes are validated, tested, and subsequently deployed without issue.


  • Relevant business or IT experience, ideally in Luxury Retail or consumer products industries preferred
  • Hands-on experience of in-store operations
  • POS application knowledge.  Previous experience of Clarity (Omnico) will be an advantage.
  • SQL knowledge
  • Experience of POS builds, deployment technology and software distribution
  • Ability to understand business process and how they might apply in a retail system
  • Good communication and presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Good inter-personal skills in order to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to plan, organise effectively and deliver results to time
  • Self-starter, takes initiative and can work independently but also as part of a team
  • Drive, energy and enthusiasm
  • Well organised, with ability to follow tasks through to completion
  • Structured and disciplined, with attention to detail
  • Articulate, assertive and flexible.
