JOB PURPOSE

Leading the creative design for permanent and temporary Burberry Beauty environments globally across all channels of distribution. Owning the beauty architecture relationships and partnering closely with our Licence Partner, Coty, and internal teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Work with Design Director and the Studio to develop market leading Beauty and Fragrance concepts, in line with business and market requirements
•    Manage and develop global flagship beauty projects through the Architecture team, working in collaboration with key corporate and regional partners
•    Maintain a project critical path schedule to track and report all relevant beauty projects, ensuring that the design is both on time and on budget
•    Partner with the wider Architecture team and Procurement team to develop and standardise all materials and finishes associated with permanent and semi-permanent environments, in keeping with Burberry established palette, and ensuring global availability and consistency
•    Build and manage key relationships with the Senior Beauty Product teams to better understand key product launches and all customer insights relevant for Beauty Architecture projects
•    Build and manage key relationships with the Coty Senior VM team, assisting them to better understand key concept or architecture details across Burberry Beauty sites, in an effort to align VM and Architecture creative vision on site  
•    Develop and own all Beauty Bibles for permanent and semi-permanent concept guidelines
•    Ensuring guidelines are followed whilst also protecting the Burberry aesthetic and ensuring all projects are on brand
•    Work closely with Art Direction and Marketing & Communications to establish a strong digital presence within our permanent and semi-permanent environments, making Burberry the ‘most digital’ Beauty brand in the industry
•    Partnering with the Coty implementation teams in liaising with regional teams to ensure that all projects are in line with brand and Beauty concept standards.
•    Working closely with Art Direction to interpret campaigns to create Beauty environments across POS, Pop-up environments that are ‘experience’ led for our consumer
•    Lead, coach and develop more junior members of the team, encouraging exploration, excitement and creativity.

PERSONAL PROFILE

•    Relevant experience of 3D Design, Interiors or Architecture in luxury beauty and/or fashion retail
•    Global Flagship project experience (design and roll out)
•    Strong technical knowledge including understanding of details and materiality; knowledge of fixture design and production essential
•    Strong stakeholder management skills.  Ability to manage a matrix project team with internal and external stakeholders
•    Experience of owning multiple projects and a proven track record of delivering against pre-determined requirements in a timely manner.  Excellent prioritisation skills
•    Ability to manage consultants, 3rd party providers and local teams to ensure timely completion and maintenance of global standard for all projects
•    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with credibility, share information effectively, and work confidently with cross functional teams at all levels
•    Ability to present confidently to varying audiences.
