This is an exciting position tol lead, inspire and take accountability for all development and maintenance of the Buy Tool, Analysis and resulting Orderbook within the Merchandise Operations department of Burberry Global Planning. You will lead by example, acting as an ambassador for Burberry, fostering a culture of simplification, innovation and collaboration and driving excellence.


You will be accountable for:

  • Maintenance and Development of the Collection Buy Tool through market, and ensuring all processes adhered to in the critical path
  • Direct the Buy Analysis during the collection ensuring strong data accuracy and timely report delivery
  • Completion of the Orderbook analysis for Wholesale


Buy Tool Management

  • Responsible for the development and continual improvement of pre-market/market activities calendar in relation to the Buy Tool.
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of a globally aligned buying tool to be used by regional merchandising team at the buy
  • Responsible for the Buy Tool Critical path and ensuring clear communications in relation to deadlines
  • Accountable for the implementation of the Buy Tool into any Merchandising System solution


Buy Analysis

  • Direct the Buy Analysis during the collection ensuring reports are delivered in a timely manner
  • Lead the implementation of any further modification of reports


Wholesale Orderbook

  • Responsible for the Wholesale Orderbook Report management, delivery and automation with IT
  • Responsible for analysis relating to Wholesale orderbook post wholesale close



  • Bachelor Degree
  • Demonstrated experience in planning in a fast paced commercial, luxury environment
  • Innovative and customer-oriented when faced with business challenges
  • Solid decision-making capability driven by developing strategic product and business initiatives
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the organisation
  • Dynamic and collaborative style, able to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams and translate strategic direction into day to day direction within the department
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Experience with SAP would be advantageous
