Burberry are looking for a Solution Architect who will own responsibility for the design and ongoing technical development of Flex PLM and help shape and execute the PLM roadmap for Burberry.

The role is a keystone role in the advancement of the technology landscape within Product, Planning and Supply Chain at Burberry and is responsible for translating business needs into technical designs for Flex PLM, which can be moulded into a high performing, highly available and efficient implementation


  • Partner with the PLM Product Owner, develop strong relationships with stakeholders across Product, Planning and Supply Chain, and other platform teams within Burberry IT e.g. SAP
  • Work closely with PTC and internal teams to ensure that business requirements can be translated into working, high quality designs and developments of Flex PLM
  • Engage with PTC research and development, and technical committees, to understand and influence the product roadmap for Flex PLM
  • Guarantee that solution designs map to the requirements of the business and align to the roadmap for Flex PLM, and the wider IT roadmap for Product, Planning and Supply Chain
  • Ensure that any non-functional requirements, environmental or technology constraints are captured, considered and addressed as part of the solution designs
  • Work with the support and engineering peers to ensure the continual improvement of the architecture and engineering practices


  • Experience working within the Luxury, Fashion, Footwear and Accessory sectors

  • Ability to translate customer requirements into a robust solution that delivers expected ROI
  • Experience of delivering solutions using AGILE principles
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convey information at appropriate level of detail
  • Consistent use and experience of project/ and programme management techniques
  • Deep knowledge of PTC Flex PLM or an alternative market leading PLM solution
  • Experience with adjacent technologies including CAD and 3D (e.g. Optitex)
  • Experience working within and across the product/ project delivery lifecycle
  • Ideally experience in process consulting and process improvement
  • Engineering Degree
