The Global IT Asset Manager will define, drive and lead the implementation of global asset management strategy.

A leader responsible for developing, delivering, and managing a maturing global IT Asset Management programme, with a focus on optimizing the organization’s investment in Burberry’s IT Assets, managing related risks, and improving overall operational effectiveness. This centralised role will build relationships and collaborate with key areas of the business alongside End User Computing, Commercial procurement and legal functional leads to manage audit, compliance and data security with a £4m+ spend.

The role will establish a strategic approach to Burberry’s end to end asset lifecycle, embedding asset management process excellence, with a view to optimising and implementing a strong governance structure across the global Burberry estate. The IT Asset Manager will inspire, lead and manage a growing global team of direct reports delivering exceptional service and meeting the growing needs of the wider business.


A highly visible role within the organisation, the Global IT Asset Manager will…

  • Define and drive Burberry’s global asset management strategy
  • Ensure audit, licence compliance and data security is upheld at all times
  • Oversee the procurement and lifecycle management of IT Assets, ensuring that IT Asset Inventory is accurate and reliable
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with third party partners
  • Inspire a culture of collaboration with internal Burberry teams globally
  • Support the planning, development and maintenance of Service Management strategies, policies, and Burberry approved hardware and software catalogues
  • Manage the IT Assets governance structure and developing policy, processes and principles
  • Lead the management and strategic direction of software use, licenses and vendor audits
  • Manage a budget of circa £4m
  • Engage key stakeholders, collaborating with functional process owners and providing Senior and Executive level reporting
  • Consolidate the management of all regional and global assets, with reporting and focus on the key information gaps for Burberry’s business 
  • Lead Burberry’s IT Asset Management strategic Steering Board and present VP level stakeholders across Burberry’s global business 


  • Asset Management experience developing and implementing IT Asset Management lifecycle – Software and Hardware
  • Prior experience of an asset management tool e.g. Aspera Smarttrack, Snow Software or Flexera preferred
  • Previous experience of managing and leading a team
  • Proven experience of developing and managing IT supplier contracts
  • Proven experience of managing budgets
  • Proven experience of procuring IT services and assets
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
