To be cost engineering expert for all non-Apparel (Accessories) products.


  • Analyse and understand Cost Sheets Breakdown received from the Vendor and drive cost challenges where needed.
  • Use Cost Engineering best practises, processes and tools to optimize product cost.
  • Understand, maintain and populate the cost engineering tools, such as the Product Database and the Material Wastage library.
  • Be responsible initially for Small leather goods and Belt products cost management and following focus on Bags.
  • Be able to develop internal product cost estimate.
  • Manage cost engineering objectives, contributing to and in line with the overall Supply Chain cost management strategy.
  • Partner with Product Development, Raw Materials and Product Engineering teams to gather all cost information starting from the early development stages.
  • Partner with Merchandising team in order to gather all information on Target costs, Top priorities and Key shape products for the Business.
  • Follow the product cost variations during all development stages (from Prototype to Sampling).
  • Monitor cost performance in production.
  • Identify and propose Cost Savings opportunities by analysing and understanding vendors cost sheet breakdown.
  • Verify the consistency between actions taken and costs developed.
  • To work on specific projects within Global Sourcing that meet the future developments and margin requirements of the Business.
  • To conduct reverse engineering to cost core program when costing challenges arise.


  • Degree level in Management Engineering or similar
  • Experience within a leather good or related industry is ideal
  • Fluent in Italian essential
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles
  • Advance use of Excel
  • Experience on hard accessories would be an advantage
